Registration

  • This registration option is for those who only want to take the Radon Measurement portion of the course on January 29 and January 30.
    This includes the access to the online course for a year, plus the C-NRPP exam fee.
  • This includes registration for the full week. Includes access to the online course material for 1 year and the C-NRPP exam fee.
  • This registration option is for those who only want to take the Radon Mitigation portion of the course (and have previously take the Radon Measurement course)
    The Radon Mitigation course will start on Wednesday January 31 through to February 3. This includes the access to the online course for a year, plus the C-NRPP exam fee.

Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional

Cost:

$2 500 (exam fee included)

Radon Measurement Course(only): $740.00

Radon Mitigation Course (only) : $1 950 (must have previously take the Radon Measurement Course)

Thursday and Friday (Feb 1,2) will include field experience which will be offsite, the location will be close to the classroom location and will be provided to you during the first day of the course.

Course Focus:

Radon awareness is increasing, and with it is the need for properly trained professionals to help homeowners reduce their indoor radon levels.  This course is designed to prepare people to become Radon Mitigation Professionals certified through C-NRPP.  It is based on Health Canada's scientific approach to radon mitigation.  Course participants will be trained in techniques to interpret radon test results, understand radon entry, conduct diagnostic testing and design and/or installation of radon mitigation systems and determine the most effective way to manage radon concentrations within buildings.

All course participants will receive access to the CERTI online Radon Measurement and Radon Mitigation course for 1 year.  This information will be emailed once registration is confirmed.  

The objectives of the course include:

  • Understanding radon
  • understanding radon entry
  • Site survey in a residential dwelling
  • Communication Test with micromanometer
  • Design of piping and fan fitting
  • Identify difficulties in installation
  • Hands on experience

This course is essential for: Home Builders, Building Inspectors, Public Health Officials, Plumbers, Architects, Engineers, Building Designers

This course will prepare you for C-NRPP Certification.  You can find information on the steps and cost of certification here.

Registration will be open until spots are filled.  Limit of 20 participants.
